An appeal
to the citizens of the world has also been made
by the former President of the Soviet Union Mikhail
Gorbachev - “We call up all the citizens
of the world with the aim to spread this document
and stimulate a dialogue. As violence is wandering
worldwide, our contribution is to issue a challenge
to animate the whole world to be interested in
what is happening. We will promote the Chart at
all levels”. The Dalai Lama has also stressed
the importance of trust and resolution in bringing
on the commitment for a world without violence
- “starting off from our small way, promoting
contact among communities until others will carry
on our job”.
